Reflective Edge Media LLC is an independent media company built on a simple belief: strong communities are formed through connection, shared stories, and accessible local information.

At its heart, Reflective Edge Media exists to celebrate everyday life on the Central Oregon Coast—highlighting the people, businesses, and experiences that make our coastal towns feel like home. Through print publications and community-centered projects, our goal is to create media that reflects where we live, who we are, and what we value.

The Local Bragg’n Rag

Our flagship publication, The Local Bragg’n Rag, celebrates daily life on the Central Oregon Coast. With a minimum distribution of 1,000 copies, the paper shares local stories, community highlights, and affordable advertising opportunities designed to help businesses connect with residents and like-minded professionals.

The Bragg’n Rag is meant to feel approachable and familiar—something you can pick up at a café, read at your own pace, and pass along to a friend. It’s about uplifting local voices, supporting small businesses, and reminding us that community still matters.

Your Coastal Realty Guide

Our newest publication, Your Coastal Realty Guide, is a bi-monthly real estate booklet with a minimum distribution of 1,000 copies. It serves as a practical resource for anyone living on—or considering a move to—the Central Oregon Coast.

The guide features homes for sale or rent, relocation information, and businesses that provide essential property and home services. Designed to be referenced and shared, it bridges the gap between real estate, local services, and the realities of coastal living.

Where It All Began

Reflective Edge Media grew from founder Maria Hoffman’s deep-rooted love for community. Raised in Roberts, Montana, Maria remembers how a small-town paper from nearby Red Lodge—The Local Rag—helped connect people during her teenage years. That publication played a quiet but powerful role in shaping her understanding of how local media can bring people together.

Nearly 30 years later, Maria reached out to The Local Rag’s creator, Lou Ward, through Facebook. Now living in New Mexico, Lou generously shared advice and encouragement—words that reinforced Maria’s long-held desire to build something meaningful for the community she now calls home.

As a Realtor on the Central Oregon Coast, Maria saw Reflective Edge Media as a way to give back—using her experience, relationships, and local knowledge to support businesses, strengthen connections, and help communities thrive.

An Open Invitation

Reflective Edge Media is not built alone. It grows through collaboration, shared ideas, and community participation.

We invite you to be part of what we’re building—whether by:

  • sharing ideas
  • submitting articles
  • offering feedback
  • advertising your business
  • spreading the word
  • or introducing us to others who care about local connection

Together, we can create something that is informed, welcoming, and deeply rooted in the places we love.
